Medicare.gov is the official website of the U.S. government’s Medicare program. It provides information on how to enroll in Medicare, find and compare plans, and manage your benefits. In this User Guide for Medicare.gov we will provide a step-by-step on how to navigate the Medicare.gov website. We will also provide tips on how to find the right plan for you and how to manage your benefits. Let’s get started!
Medicare.Gov How to Get Started !
The first step is to go to the medicare.gov website and create an account. You will need to provide your personal information, such as your name, address, and date of birth. Once you have created your account, you will be able to medicare.gov login. The next step is to select the “Medicare” tab at the top of the page. This will take you to the Medicare homepage, where you can learn more about the program and find resources to help you make informed decisions about your health care. The third step is to select the “Find a Plan” tab. This will take you to a page where you can compare different Medicare plans and find one that best meets your needs. The fourth step is to select the “Enroll in a Plan” tab. This will take you to a page where you can enroll in a Medicare plan. You will need to provide your personal information and select the plan that you want to enroll in. The fifth step is to select the “MyMedicare” tab.

When you sign up what does Original Medicare cover?
Original Medicare is composed of Part A and Part B . Together, these two parts cover most, but not all, medical expenses. They do not include coverage for prescription drugs. For that, you will need to sign up for a separate Medicare prescription drug plan. Medicare Part A covers inpatient hospital care, skilled nursing facility care, hospice care, and home health care. Part B covers outpatient medical care, preventive services, and durable medical equipment. Part A has no monthly premium for most people. Most people pay a monthly premium for Part B.
There is also a deductible for each type of service covered by Medicare. After you have paid your deductible, you will still be responsible for a portion of the cost of your care. In addition to that is called coinsurance. Part B has an annual deductible of $233. in 2022. After you have paid your deductible, you will be responsible for 20% of the cost of your outpatient medical care. Part A has a deductible of $1500 in 2022. After you have paid your deductible, you will be responsible for a portion of the cost of your inpatient hospital care. This is called coinsurance. Part A also has a daily copayment for days 61-90 of $371 in 2022. After day 90, you will be responsible for all costs.
Supplemental and Other insurance.
If you have other health insurance, you may want to consider whether or not to enroll in Medicare. If you decide to enroll in Medicare, you will need to sign up for Part A and Part B. You may also want to consider signing up for a supplemental insurance policy, which can help cover some of the costs not covered by Medicare. You can also enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan, which is a type of health insurance that covers all of the benefits of Part A and Part B, and often provides additional benefits as well. If you have prescription drug coverage through your other health insurance, you may want to consider whether or not to enroll in a Medicare prescription drug plan. If you decide to enroll in a Medicare prescription drug plan, you will need to sign up for Part D.
