Medicare Advantage
Another way to get your Medicare Part A and Part B coverage is with a Medicare Advantage Plan. These plans are also known as “Part C” or “MA Plans” and are offered by Medicare approved private insurance companies.
Many of these plans will also include prescription drug coverage (Part D). In most cases, you will need to use a doctor in the plan’s network. These plans also will put a limit on what you will have to pay out-of-pocket each year for covered services.

For most people, joining a Medicare Advantage plan is the best place to be.
Here’s why:
Medicare Advantage plans combine coverage under Medicare Part A and Part B while including additional benefits for the enrollee at a lower out-of-pocket cost. Benefits offered in most MA plans include visits to the doctor, hospitalization, prescription drugs, home health services, palliative or preventive care, dental, vision, hearing aids, Silver Sneaker fitness subscriptions, and more.
However, each MA plan is designed differently, and some are more beneficial to your specific needs than others. Choosing the right MA plan for yourself can be challenging as the information available from insurers is often lengthy and confusing.
United Insurance is here to break down the facts and provide guidance for your best plan forward. There are several types of Medicare Advantage plans to choose from and many carriers in your service area. We are pleased to help you make the right decision.
