Aetna Medigap plans for 2022

When looking at what kind of policy makes sense to you and your loved ones. The first thing we notice is premium. Followed by the coverage. We will look at how these plans stack up. Plus how consumers feel after purchase. Some things I can say, are low premiums do not translate to the best benefits when it comes to medicare products. These are some of the things that Aetna delivers with its line of plans.

  • Rate guarantee for the year
  • Household discounts are offered in certain states
  • 30 Day free look period
  • Aetna has several companies under their umbrella

The top Aetna Medigap plans in all states are Medigap Plan F, Plan G, and Plan N. Benefits through these plans are exactly the same. For Example: F Plan with Aetna offers the same coverage as Plan F with any other carrier. The only difference is the monthly premium and rate of increase.

For example, if Aetna has a lower premium for a more comprehensive coverage option in your area, you should consider enrolling in their plan. But, if you can find the same plan at a lower cost with a highly-rated carrier, that could be a better option.

We understand that Medicare Supplement plans might not be the most competitive across the board in terms of price. We know they are the most competitive in over 35 states.

Aetna F Plan Covers:

Part A coinsurance and hospital costs. As well as, the additional 365 days.

Part B coinsurance or copayment

Part A hospice care coinsurance or copayment

Skilled nursing facility care coinsurance

Foreign travel emergency (up to plan limits)

Coverage for Part B excess charges

Aetna G Plan Covers:

Part A coinsurance and hospital costs. As well as, the additional 365 days.

Part B coinsurance or copayment

First three pints of blood each year

Part A hospice care coinsurance or copayment

Skilled nursing facility care coinsurance

Foreign travel emergency (up to plan limits)

Aetna N Plan Covers:

Part A coinsurance and hospital costs. As well as, the additional 365 days.

Part B coinsurance or copayment, except for a $20 copayment for some office visits and a $50

Aetna Part D Plan Covers:

Aetna partnered with CVS to offer Medicare Part D plans through SilverScript. These plans cover your prescription medications.

You can enroll in a SilverScript Part D plan alongside your Original Medicare, with or without a Medicare Supplement plan. However, just because you choose to enroll in a plan through Aetna for Medigap doesn’t mean that you must enroll in a Medicare Part D plan through them. Silver Script has a large list of pharmacies. Also, it’s Clients easy to use an online portal. And it’s Excellent copays on drug costs.

Regardless of which carrier you get your Medigap policy through, Part D through SilverScript may or may not be the best prescription drug coverage for you. It is still important to compare all available Medicare plans to receive the best coverage on your medications.

What is the best choice for me

The the F plan was the best option available. Until it was no longer available in 2021. Leaving G plan and N plan. Both of these plans will give you a great plan for premium and have great benefits to use. The G plan will be the comprehensive coverage you can get. We usually recommend the G Plan more than any other plan. Especially with Aetna, because of their great availability as well as very good price point.

We understand that this can be a big decision for you to make. That is why we like to look at all your options. Taking your coverage and needs into consideration. We would love to be the company that helps you set that up. Please keep in mind, that we do work with over 35 different carriers and will work hard to put you in the best available option. If you have any questions we are just a phone call away.
